Summit Africa – Sandton HQ
Summit Africa required a bold new workplace in the heart of Sandton – one that could reflect the energy, growth, and ambition of their dynamic team. The brief called for a space as multifaceted as its people: a versatile environment that could seamlessly support collaboration, focused work, private meetings, and spontaneous ideation.
We were entrusted with the challenge of delivering a high-performance workspace with a distinctive industrial edge – a setting that would balance style with substance. The result is a sophisticated, multi-use environment layered with texture, purpose, and personality.
Key creative elements include bespoke timber joinery, hand-painted artistic wall murals by local talent, and raw materiality that anchors the design in authenticity. These feature points are intentionally understated yet impactful, offering moments of inspiration without overpowering the function of the space.
Acoustics and sustainability were central to the design approach. Open-plan areas were carefully treated to manage sound, while enclosed pods provide refuge for quiet concentration. Materials were curated with a focus on longevity and environmental impact – favouring durable, low-VOC, and responsibly sourced products to meet both aesthetic and ethical goals.
Summit Africa’s new home is a finely tuned blend of creativity and pragmatism: an environment that supports how their team works now, and how they will continue to evolve.
